Hi all:
While logging on to my BellSouth account via their webmail portal I
inadvertantly asked IE6 not to cache my username/password. Now when I
visit that page it never gives me the option to cache my
username/password.
How can I re-enable the caching on this page?
Note that username/password caching continues to work fine on all other
pages. IE6 will prompt me and ask me if I want to save the username and
password.
I do already have:
Tools/
Internet Options/
Content/
AutoComplete/
Usernames and passwords on forms/
Prompt me to save passwords
checked on.

- I had a look at the site. I think all you need to do is delete the site
cookie.
It will be in your cookies folder and will have a name like
YourUserName.ms-ie.itags.org.www.bellsouth[1].txt
You can find your cookies folder in your user documents folder, similar to
C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Cookies

- Rob, thanks but that doesn't work. After deleting all cookies whose
filename contains "bellsouth" the problem persists. In fact the list of
existing usernames (and associated passwords) continues to exist after
deleting all the bellsouth cookies. IE6 will still not save or ask me
to save any new username/password pairs on this page.
Anything else I might try?

- One more thing: yes, I did close IE6, delete the cookies in question,
and then restart IE6.
Or do I need to either logoff this account or shutdown and restart? I'm
running Windows 2000 Professional with all critical Windows Updates
applied and most recommended updates.

- I solved my own problem. I used "Protected Storage PassView" by Nir
Sofer to delete all the username/password entries for the webpage in
question. IE6 then prompted me to save the username/password on
subsequent visits.
